The purpose of the Transition to Adulthood service is to provide a more gradual and supported transition for young people from care, to help them get a good start to their adult lives.
Based in the main centre of Kaikohe, Te Hau Ora O Ngāpuhi, also known as THOON, is charged with leading the hauora strategy for Ngāpuhi, serving whānau, hapū and hapori living within Te Whare Tapu Ō Ngāpuhi, from pēpi to kuia and kaumātua, whether Māori or non-Māori.
