Kua mutu ngā tīkiti! Tickets officially SOLD OUT!
The upcoming National Māori Housing Conference has reached full capacity. It has been amazing to see everyone support and tautoko this incredible kaupapa.
For those who weren’t able to grab a ticket this time, be sure to follow Te Matipihi on all socials - they’ll be sharing highlights and key takeaways after the event and we’ll be doing the same!
Welcoming Tom Harris to THOON 👏🏽

We’re delighted to welcome Tom Harris as our new Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) Co-ordinator at Te Hau Ora o Ngāpuhi.
Tom works alongside whānau, our THOON team, NISS, and external agencies to strengthen resilience against the effects of organised crime and to support hauora across our communities.
A husband and father of three boys, Tom enjoys hunting, fishing and all things mechanical—from cars to boats and motorcycles. After moving back to Hokianga with his whānau, he sought an opportunity to serve and support his iwi and hapū, and we’re thrilled he has joined us.
Nau mai, haere mai Tom!

Service Updates

Kapa Kōrero:
Our rōpū meets every Friday morning at the Kaikohe Bowling Club, bringing together new and familiar faces for relaxed activities and great kōrero.
This month, we had a beautiful session learning how to make kumarahou rākau wai with our wonderful work colleague, Georgina Tuhiwai.
From darts, to pool, to cards & plenty of laughs, we are so grateful for all our whānau who come along and to everyone involved in our sessions.
This free weekly community gathering is open to all, nau mai, haere mai!
Congratulations to Our Newly
Qualified Child Restraint Technicians 🙌🏽

During September, three of our kaimahi completed an intensive week-long training to become qualified Child Restraint Technicians, and we’re proud to share that they all passed with flying colours!
He mihi nui to:
✨ Cherie and Keisha from our Kahu Taurima team, and
✨ Ngamarama from our clinic team, who will soon be joining our Road Safety service.
This milestone means greater support and knowledge to keep our pēpi and tamariki safe, and contributes to shaping safer roads for Te Tai Tokerau.
A heartfelt thank you to Janelle and the Far North REAP team, and to Tanya, Rachael, and Rhanae from AT, for your incredible guidance and uplifting energy throughout the week. We deeply appreciate the time, aroha and support you gave while being away from your own whānau, pēpi and communities.
Ka rawe koutou!
