The provider will provide an increased level of food for people, families and whānau experiencing food insecurity due to the economic shocks caused by COVID-19, while contributing towards creating a food secure community.
Based in the main centre of Kaikohe, Te Hau Ora O Ngāpuhi, also known as THOON, is charged with leading the hauora strategy for Ngāpuhi, serving whānau, hapū and hapori living within Te Whare Tapu Ō Ngāpuhi, from pēpi to kuia and kaumātua, whether Māori or non-Māori.
